Farmers’ Market Co-Ordinator

Job Description

The Langley Community Farmers’ Market Society is a non­profit organization geared towards providing Langley and surrounding areas with locally grown foods, farm products, and other locally made products in a direct producer to consumer marketing venue. The Market Co-Ordinator Position is a part time position, running from April  26th to October 4th with specific responsibility for the day-of operation of the farmers market. 

This will include an on-site presence at the market during all market hours, as well as off-site work during non-market hours, for a total of 15 hours a week. The Co-ordinator will report to the Market Manager, who works with the Board to set all market policy. In addition, the Co-ordinator will represent the market to the market’s vendors, the consumers, and to the community.

  2. My name is Linda Prime and last summer I worked at a vendor’s location that sells honey—B.C. Buzz. I loved doing the selling and meeting the people. I am very interested in applying for a position at the table where money is exchanged for tickets/chips. I have worked many years for ICBC and for Sears and am very comfortable with handling money.
    A friend of mine Lorraine Furness works at this task and she has known me and my family for years. If you need more information about me she said she would be more than willing to speak with you.
    I am a retired lady and find that this volunteering opportunity would suite me perfectly.
