The Langley Community Farmers Market Society is excited for our 3rd Annual Gumboot Gala being hosted by Central Park Farms on August 18th. The gorgeous forty acre farmland nestled between Campbell Valley Park and the Irene Pearce Trail in South Langley offers a picture perfect backdrop for the midsummer’s night long table dinner, dance and mingle. Kendall Ballentine, Owner of the farm sure knows how to host a long table dinner complete with pergola seating draped in gorgeous white fabric and strung with Edison lights to create a lovely ambiance!

The Annual Fundraiser allows guests to gather ’round in celebration of local farmers, makers and bakers alike. Monies raised will greatly benefit the Market’s Food Recovery Program where additional fresh foods are donated to community members and the Nutrition Coupon Program that’s always giving back to the people in our community! Guests will be treated to and enjoy a top notch farm to table buffet dinner specially prepared by Chef Adrian Beaty of Food From the Farm. Some of the Markets Vendors like Close to Home Organics, Wild West Coast Seafoods and  Central Park Farms are offering up their fine meats and produce for the event and even Koji Fine Food’s salt will be used!  After the meal, everyone can enjoy some delicious sweet treats from Sugar Patisserie and organic (gluten free) candy floss from Soul Sugar Cotton Candy Co!

Tickets for this experience can be purchased HERE or at the Market (but are not available at the door) are $75 and feature live entertainment by the Cole Peterson Band, a glass of local beer, wine or cider, a 50/50 draw and many opportunities to win prizes hidden in our Gumboot flower planters! End the night sitting around a campfire, sharing stories and creating memories!
