BOARD OF DIRECTORS
Paige Dampier is a farmer and vendor at the Langley Farmers’ Market. She and her husband, Chris, run a family farming business called Close to Home Organics. Their business plan includes selling at two farmers markets as well as running a CSA program. They are fortunate to be shareholders and farmers at Glen Valley Organic Farm, a co-operatively owned farm in the Fraser Valley.
Ava Reeve is the agriculture program coordinator at Langley Environmental Partners Society (LEPS), where she manages projects for agricultural stewardship and food education: running a community gleaning project, offering school and public workshops on growing food, promoting good land and manure management, and coordinating local community gardens. Ava studied sustainable community development in UBC’s Faculty of Land and Food Systems and strives to promote farming and food security in Langley.
Marlyn Graziano is Vice President, External Relations at Kwantlen Polytechnic University, which is the proud host venue of the Langley Community Farmers Market. Marlyn’s portfolio at KPU includes community engagement, and she is very excited to be part of the LCFM board and to be working with an organization that has community engagement and connection at the heart of everything it does. She is looking forward to working with her fellow directors to enhance and grow the market and to increase its visibility in and impact on the Langley community.
Lisa has lived in Langley for the last 9 years and has worked at Vancity Savings Credit Union for 6 and a half years. She is currently a student at KPU in the NGO and Nonprofit Studies program. Lisa has been married for 13 years to Chris, a graduate of KPU’s Horticulture Technology diploma program. Lisa and Chris live in Aldergrove where they enjoy tending to a small kitchen garden in the Summer and have plans to build a small greenhouse for year-round gardening. Lisa got involved with the Langley Community Farmers’ Market when she started working for Vancity and has been a member, consumer and advocate of the Market ever since. She is excited to join the board and learn more about the behind the scenes happenings of the Market. Lisa hopes that her education and skills will add value to the board and help continue to support the Market’s mission and strategic planning.
